My first few days in France have been fabulous...we have one really great group of fibers girls who share a very cute and very old limestone house on a hillside in southern France that is just as picaresque as it sounds! Here are some photos of my adventure so far...
Pont Julien, a nearby bridge dating back to Roman times, which we visited after going to Apt to the market (the longest running one in Europe, also going back to Roman times)
Today was spent going to an antique market in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue where we found some beautiful textiles, I ended up with a piece of some printed cotton antique fabric and some lovely mustard yellow velvet ribbon.
The lace-y edge of a hankie--just too precious.
My friend and housemate Lexi at the market(notice the Frenchman in the background!) Our two rooms have a hole in the thick limestone walls so when in bed me and her can chat and such.
When you step out of the front door of our house this is what you see...amazing right??
Our cozy cave of a dorm room!
Well that is all for now but it is just the beginning of what is sure to be quite the adventure!
