Tonight I was going through one of my three little aqua colored boxes that I keep odds and ends like cards and sentimental bits of things and I discovered my notebooks from France. It is quite an experience to go back and revisit these things. France was defining for me, some of my best thoughts were thought while I was there...here is a snippet of them...
REAL...that is what I like to make, the tangible which expresses the intangible. My work is my love--I am a people pleaser and the best reward for what I do is to make others happy. That is why I, like many of the last remaining authentic businesses we visited, want to bring the consumer something real."
Our dining area and view out to our front porch. You have to crawl out one of those windows to get there which is a little funny!
My little work area...at some point I will have a real desk but for now this is my tiny space.
Our beautiful kitchen that I love to death. There is simply nothing better than coming home from class to a kitchen where I can cook to my heart's content--it is probably what I missed most when living in the dorms.
Our living room which oh so conveniently converts into our guest room--so if you ever have a desire to visit we have a place for you!
Lastly our bedroom--how nice it is that it is an entirely separate room!
And that is the new place. We are constantly working on making it cuter each day! It is a simply lovely place to reside.
I am still alive, I really am(not that you could tell from my lack of posts!). Oh so much has been stuffed into the past couple weeks, I am just now getting my act together I guess. School has started back up and it feels like I really haven't been at school in six months so that has taken a bit of adjustment. I have three classes--bookmaking, history of fabric, and images on fabric which takes up countless hours of my time spent dyeing tiny swatches of fabric! That being said I finally started a project outside of schoolwork, which is this precious little quilt for a trunkshow that is being held February 12+13 at the local fabric store. It is my love day quilt!
p.s. I promise to post photos of the new apartment in which I now reside...tomorrow perhaps!
