Part of the portfolio requirements for graduation include a business card, resume, cover letter, and leave-behind that communicates our image as astists/designers/makers. On the advice of my graphic design friend, Chris, I decided to make a logo of sorts for my personal "branding". He recommended doing hand lettering (see some beautiful examples here) because it would better convey my passion for handmade than any font would.
