If you didn't know already, my grandmother's attic is a treasure trove. Over the summer it was a little project of mine to get this antique Wheeler & Wilson treadle sewing machine all cleaned up. I am still working on getting it to sew nicely (the perfect tension/threading is still eluding me!) but it looks nice in my apartment which is what I care about more and it is pretty neat that it has stayed in the family so long(more than 100 years!!!) So here are some pretty portraits of this little beauty...
I am glad that sewing machine technology has advanced since the 1890's since this won't be replaceing my Husqvarna Viking that is my baby.

Oh wow thats gorgeous. I found a teeny sewing machine at a market the other day (on my blog) that I recently found out that it was used for buttons.... Very cool
