Today it looks a little like this outside:
So I decided crocheting some snowflakes were in order.
I am no crochet expert and I rather dislike following a pattern so I came up with my own! Given the disclaimer here is my best attempt at describing what I did.
First round: chain 6, slip stitch to make ring
Round 2: chain 2, double crochet 11 times into center of ring, slip stitch to join
Round 3: *chain 7, slip stitch into 3rd stitch to make little loop, chain 10 slip stitch again into same stitch to make big loop, chain 4 slip stitch into the same stitch to make another small loop, chain two and slip stitch into the next double crochet stitch from the second round. Single crochet into the next double crochet from round 2* and repeat from * to * 5 more times
-When you're done leave a long end and tie it into a hanger if you want it to be an ornament. You can starch it too but I am not such a fan of the crunchiness so I opted to leave mine nice and soft!
-I used basic crochet cotton and a size 3/2 10mm hook. But you can use whatever material you might like and adjust the hook size so that you still get nice and tight stitches!
