Remember making these guys out of construction paper back in your elementary school days?? I certainly do! Well here they are again only they've been upgraded to wool felt and made mini to up the cuteness!
What you need:
-wool felt
-baker's twine
-paper template
-needle
-scissors
How-to:
1. Make a paper template. Mine is 5" by 1.5" and is rounded on both ends. I folded it in half and made evenly spaced slits that are 1.5" long.
2. Using that template cut 2 out of wool felt. (I chose red and cream felt and cut out one of each.)
3. Begin weaving!
and keep going...
until all three strips are woven in!
4. Cut a length of baker's twine for your hanger. Thread a needle with it and put it through in the middle of the top, making knots on both ends so it won't slide out.
5. You have a lovely ornament! Now wouldn't it be fun to make a whole bunch of these for an advent calendar? Or fill them with goodies and give them as gifts??
