This summer I worked full time for myself. It was pretty great. It was also successful, mainly because I participated in a weekly artist market, where I sold my wares. And so I leave you with moments from this summer captured on my phone...
As the summer came to a close, I found myself really wanting to make a change in my apartment/studio. I had the perfect excuse to, when I was given a lovely corner cupboard that once belonged to my great grandmother (who shares my initials CBB). I am really liking my new set up--it feels more spacious, and uses what space I have more efficiently. Here is a peek. One of these days I should do another proper tour of the place, but for now I'll leave you with this:
Today was supposed to be my very last artist market of the season, but the weather had some different ideas because it has been raining all day long---so no market. Instead I have baked bread, packaged up orders for delivery and took inventory of what I've got made. Despite the not so great weather I was able to snap some photos of finger puppet sets that I've started listing in the shop.
I had a request to make a star ball for a little baby girl. So I whipped up one in pinks & yellows. I quite enjoy making them-- mainly choosing out the fabrics. It's just like quilting, only its three dimensional!
These last few weeks have gone by so fast it seems. I have been crafting, really I have. I just haven't been so great at sharing it. Here is the latest batch of little lions that have made their little way into the shop. I am starting to think holiday to get myself motivated to sew lots and lots. Now if it would only stop raining so I could take some more photos of what I've been up to.
